Its curved shape reminds me of a sail catching the breeze. This Winton Boulder opal holds a full rainbow of color—red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet—with different flashes revealing themselves as you turn it in the light.
I set this 1.3-carat opal in 14K yellow gold with a hand-textured 3 mm band. Handcrafted in my Southern California coastal studio, Aurora Sail is part of the Solar Reef Collection.
