What I love about this boulder opal is how deep the blue is, yet how brightly it lights up. Turn it in the light and you’ll see electric-blue and aqua flashes moving across the rich cobalt tones. If you’re drawn to ocean blues, this one would be a lovely addition to your opal collection.
Handcrafted in .925 sterling silver, the square shadowbox setting pairs polished silver edges with a dark, oxidized interior that makes the stone’s color pop.
The split shank features polished half-round bands with flat inner surfaces. It measures approximately 19 mm across the split near the setting and 6.35 mm underneath. The exterior ring face measures approximately 23 × 16.5 mm, and the stone measures approximately 13.5 × 7.5 mm.
Size: US 8. The substantial band may feel snugger than a narrow ring in the same size.
