The blue and violet in this opal catch my eye because they sit inside such earthy ironstone. I like that contrast: a quiet, rugged surface that reveals brighter color as you turn it. The long stone gives Guardian Relic its strong, shield-like shape.
The sculpted sterling silver frame has polished raised details and dark recesses that bring out the engraving. This pendant is handcrafted in my Southern California coastal studio and belongs to the Guardian Tide Relic Set.

Stone: approximately 26 × 14 mm
Pendant: approximately 57 mm tall including bail × 24.6 mm wide
