Ocean Current is a one-of-a-kind Australian Boulder Opal pendant built around a spectacular natural 36 × 24 mm Boulder Opal. Brilliant turquoise, electric blue, emerald green, honey gold, orange, and rich ironstone combine to create a landscape reminiscent of winding tidal estuaries, coral reefs, rugged coastlines, and ancient Australian earth viewed from above.
Handcrafted in solid .950 silver, the custom setting follows the natural shield-shaped silhouette of the stone. Sculpted flowing silver forms rise along both sides like powerful ocean currents while engraved and oxidized details give the pendant the appearance of an ancient maritime relic.
The integrated bail flows naturally into the pendant, creating one continuous sculptural design. Every surface has been carefully finished with polished highlights that contrast beautifully against the darker engraved recesses.
The reverse is equally artistic, featuring a custom open whirlpool-inspired backplate that allows light to pass behind the stone while revealing the natural ironstone backing. A visible .950 silver quality mark completes the handcrafted design.
