Electric Lagoon is one of those little opals that doesn’t need to be big to get your attention.
The stone is only 8.5 × 6 mm, but the color is incredibly bright. In the sunlight it comes alive with flashes of electric green over deep cobalt and ocean blue. Every slight movement seems to bring out something different.
I kept the setting simple because I didn’t want anything competing with the opal. The textured silver band gives the ring a little character while letting the stone remain the center of attention.
This is the kind of ring I think gets better the longer you own it. Something you wear often, collect a few scratches and memories on, and eventually hand down to someone you love. Boulder opal has already spent millions of years becoming what it is. I like the idea of a piece like this continuing its story with the person who wears it.
